OUR AVAILABILITY:
Our lead time is usually one to two months out. Also, we do have gaps appear from time to time due to a booking moving or a gap appearing due to a cancellation. So, if you do book in with confirmed timing then we may be able to do your job sooner if a earlier booking gap appears.

WHAT WE DO:
We specialize in quality sanding & quality coating of a variety of timber floors
We occasionally re-finish cork floors as well depending on their condition
We refinish old floors and finish new floors
We provide clear polyurethane coating as well as specific dark color staining to some floors only
We can uplift & remove old floor coverings depending on type and confirmed free of asbestos
We can remove old glue residues depending on type
When sanding we collect 95-98% of all dust with machine vacuum attachments
We can organize asbestos tests of old floor coverings
We can fill all nail holes in your floor if required
We can advise maintenance systems & after care products for your floors (even supply if needed)

General Recommendations:
Please engage an experienced installer/builder to do any timber replacement if needed
Filling T&G gaps with filler is not recommended (we can discuss on site better options)
Sanding floors is a type of major renovation (there can always be minimal dust left)
It is best to refinish floors with renovations as late as possible to avoid contamination and damage
Carpets can cause fiber contamination so install carpets last

General Coating Recommendations:
Color of finished floors will be dictated by your timber and your coating product choice
Water-based finish will always provide a natural and lighter color in general
Solvent based finish will always provide a richer color and can darken or yellow up over time
Oil or wax applied previously to your floors can mean that polyurethane cannot now be applied

COATING PRODUCT RANGE:
Please note - Coating product applied on your floors is at is customer choice - please choose from our range below (please also read the aftercare info below about looking after coatings after a job)

Possibility of color staining can be dependent of sample tests done on your floor first

AFTERCARE:
Firstly, we always recommend using the manufacturers guidelines for cleaning your floors
Wait till full cure times (of your chosen coating) before doing any damp mopping if needed
When moving in furniture/appliances ONLY lift into place or protect floor with hardboard underneath
Put protective pads on the feet of all furniture to limit scratching or denting (old cork works well)
Do not cover, place mats or use any cleaning products on your floor until coatings are fully cured
After cure, place foot mats at the entrance doors inside and outside to limit street grit
Protect your coatings from direct/bright UV light as much as possible
Protect your coatings from excess moisture or ongoing dampness
When mopping your floors to remove grime use only a damp mop or light spray and wipe
Do not use abrasive or acidic (low pH) cleaning liquids or steam mops
Avoid using cleaning products that contain silicon, oil or wax on polyurethane coatings
